Gift Options

Can I add a Gift Note to my order?

You can add a gift note to your Gift Box order quickly and easily (and for free!) by using our ‘Gift Note’ option on any of our product pages. All you need to do is add your note into the box on the product page, add the product to cart, and you will be able to see your gift note in your cart and at checkout. We will print your gift note on one of our labels and place them on the inside of the delivery box.

Do you offer Gift Wrapping?

Unfortunately we do not offer gift wrapping for our products. It’s just one of those things that is difficult to ensure arrives exactly as what we would like once it’s made it’s journey through the postal system (we all know how heavy handed some couriers can be!). All of our gift boxes come packaged with tissue paper and packing to make them as presentable as possible and with the option to add a personal message sticker to the inside of the box. If there is anything at all we can help with though, please drop us an email and we will do our best to accomodate your request.

Waxes and Ingredients

What wax is used in your wax melts?

Our Wax melts use soy wax (meaning no hidden nasties) and are hand made

How many hours burning will I get from each Snap Bar?

Our tried and tested combination of highest grade wax and beautiful fragrance oils means our wax melts pack a super fragrance punch to suit every taste - with approx over 60 hours of burning per snap bar After lots of lots of testing, we recommend snapping off just 2 squares / 1 section (1/5 of one bar) at a time for optimum scent throw! Two of these little gems of scented goodness melting in your wax burner typically last between 2/3 burns of a 4 hour tealight..... that's around 12 hours of beautiful fragrance per 2 squares/ 1 section! As just 2 squares/ 1 section of one snap bar last for around 12 hours, that means each Snap Bar will give around 60 hours of burning! MUCH more affordable than expensive candles that only provide one scent throughout the entire burn!

What's the best way to melt your wax melts?

Whilst wax melting is extremely simple (and once you start, you'll be hooked!) there are a number of things we recommend to get the BEST burn rate and fragrance throw from our melts! 1. ALWAYS use a 4 hour tealight If you use a larger tealight (6 hour, 8 hour, 12 hour etc...) these give off MUCH more heat than a standard 4 hour tealight. Whilst it may be easy to think this will make the scent stronger, because the flame is closer to the wax, it will burn off the fragrance oil at double the normal rate, and ultimately 'scorch' the scent. This means your wax melts will burn far too quickly and you just won't get the best results from them. 2. ALWAYS use a good size burner It's very easy to migrate to the extremely cheap tiny burners that you can pick up in the affordable high street shops - but we find that these burners are always sub-quality and not good for burning high quality wax melts. The distance between the tealight flame and the top of the burner needs to be atleast 11cm - any less than that, and the wax will get too hot and burn the fragrance off far too quickly. Solid and sturdy burners will always give a better burn 3. Electric warmers - are they worth it Electric warmers can make life A LOT easier when it comes to a simple switch of a button. However, the majority of electric warmers on the market these days are not made for optimum wax melting - they simply just don't get hot enough (or reach the optimum fragrance release temperature). We have researched a number of electric warmers, and have carried out a lot of testing to make sure we only offer warmers that warm wax at the correct temperature for optimum fragrance throw. However, we ALWAYS recommend tealight burners for any wax melt lovers that want the best scent throw in their home. Tealight burners reach a much better temperature for melting wax, and unfortunately electric warmers just don't perform as well as the traditional tealight burner. We still LOVE electric warmers though, and they will still scent your home beautifully - just maybe not quite as strong as a tealight burner!

Which size tealights are best?

We always recommend 4 hour tealights If you use a larger tealight (6 hour, 8 hour, 12 hour etc...) these give off MUCH more heat than a standard 4 hour tealight. Whilst it may be easy to think this will make the scent stronger, because the flame is closer to the wax, it will burn off the fragrance oil at double the normal rate, and ultimately 'scorch' the scent. This means your wax melts will burn far too quickly and you just won't get the best results from them.

Can I use my electric warmer with your wax melts?

Lots of our customers use our wax melts in their electric burners and have no problems at all. However, the majority of electric warmers on the market these days are not made for optimum wax melting - they simply just don't get hot enough (or reach the optimum fragrance release temperature). But it can all depend on the burner you have, as a number of customers use their electric warmers at home with no problems at all. Although we recommend tealight burners when melting wax as they give a much better fragrance throw due to the temperatures they reach, we generally recommend electric burners with a 40 to 60 wattage bulb

How do I remove used wax from my burner?

If you want to change your used wax, all you need to do is pop a lit tealight into your burner (or switch on your electric warmer) for 30 seconds or so. This will melt the bottom of the wax slightly, and allow you to 'slide' the wax out as a whole. Pop it in the bin (don't forget - it's biodegradable!) and you're free to pop in new wax whenever you are ready! You can also use cotton pads or tissue paper to 'soak up' the wax if you want to remove once it's already melted - the wax will easily be absorbed and you can pop it in the bin and start again - j ust be careful around the hot wax!

Have yur Wax Melts got CLP Information?

All of our Wax Melts have a CPL Information label attached from our supplier. They are also available to view on our Website accessed from the links and the bottom of the page or by clicking here
